I solve problems through design

Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Mitchell Krapfl and I am studying graphic design at Iowa State University. My expected graduation date is May 2020 and I will leave college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.

I’ve solved problems through design for as long as I can recall. For example, when I was little I remember being annoyed at how my relatives would ask me what I had been up to. As a young lad I didn’t realize that they did not actually care and were just making small talk, so I started a print publication to remedy the problem: The Krapfl Weekly. It was one page long with two main stories, a joke, and an illustration for each edition. That was my first exposure to layout design and printing techniques. I absolutely fell in love with it and here I am today!

We ended up running for a little over a year detailing my adventures as a ten year old until my relatives stopped asking me what I was up to. Success!
