The World Food Prize Foundation

Every year the World Food Prize Foundation awards the prestigious World Food Prize to an individual of exceptional caliber within international agriculture. As an intern I was honored to be able to do the story design for the 2019 Laureate Simon N. Groot of the Netherlands. He helped pioneer seeds that allowed small hold farmers in Southeast Asia turn better profits and join international agricultural trading. The story I designed details his life’s work and accomplishments along with his vision for the future. Detailing his successes was no easy task with a man as accomplished as Groot. Each page had to be meticulously laid out to fit all of the information in a sequential order. Putting emphasis on his many inspirational quotes was a focus of mine as well.
